Yesterday My ex and his girlfriend came over to show the kids the new baby (born July 13th). I was a bit nervous, as I have had some unresolved issues about the whole situation. It was wierd, because I was not sure how I would feel about the baby, that its parents relationship lead to the end of my marriage. I loved her. Forsythia is so cute and perfect. Looking at her it all makes sense, and it helps me to see them not as my ex and his girlfriend, but just as two people who are in love and have an adorable baby. I am so glad they decided to let me see her. I now resolve to try to let go of my saddness and bitterness about things. It is not always easy, as I have  not been the best at being single and doubt very much i will ever find another relationship, but it is rather pointless to keep mourning something that has been dead for years. I am glad they are happy, and appreciate the fact that the kids have a new sister. :)

The kitchen is changing color!!!!

 

 

I have finally started the project that I have been dreaming of for 6 mo or so. My ugly hunter green walls are no more. They are a beautiful deep yellow. Next come the cabinets. They will be "sizzle" a deep retro orange shade. It all looks so good. Thanks to my new man the world is slowly coming alive again. Photo albums, nail polish, cookbooks. Life is returning to not what is was before, as before was a facade. But better then before.

 

Three weeks of apple maggot start Monday, and then back to nscc for year 2 . Life is good.

I am just thrilled.....finally a little chill time. I plan to clean out my van, sleep, do laundry & yeah party a bit......gotta love the break.....and overall things are lookin up....
